March 18-22 Spring Break

In the classroom:

This month in Social Studies we are exploring the continent of Asia. Students will be creating a research booklet for an Asian country of their choosing. At the end of the month, we will be taking a field trip to the Chinese Cultural Center in Centennial. Permission slips will go home in this week's Friday folders.

In writing, students are publishing their fables and creating a classroom book of fables. Next, we will be doing writing procedural writing pieces, followed by persuasive writing.

Homework policy: As a reminder, I do not assign homework, but any unfinished work should be taken home. Students are reminded daily to take home any unfinished work. It is their responsibility to take it home, complete it, and return it. Book Club reading and jobs are due Thursday mornings - you might ask your child what their job is each week and if they've done their reading.

Sincerely,

Natalie Hummell
